I studied at the Acadamy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Poland where under the guidance of Małgorzata Czudak and Michał Szulc my first collections came to life.
During studies I got a chance to take part in multiple Fashion Week Poland editions and attend international faires in: Paris, Florence, Moscow, New York and Hong Kong. I gained a meaningful, professional experience while interning at: Agata Wojtkiewicz, and Viva! Moda magazine and working for Łukasz Jemioł and Michał Szulc.
Throughout the student exchange in Helsinki, Finland I decided to move towards sustainable design and that became the subject of my master thesis and finally my brand d’ éco by Ola Bąkowska. Textiles I choose come from organic producers, most of them GOTS certified and European producers. The poliester jacquard is made in cooperation with local manufacturers of recycled PET bottles.
In 2014 I interned at world’s first transparent brand Honest by Bruno Pieters. Inspired by this experience together with Kupuj Odpowiedzialnie and Clean Clothes Campaign I organized debates around the subject of sustainable fashion and faires for Polish ethical brands in Warsaw.
Since January 2016 I am blogging about sustainable fashion movement towards more responsible and ethical production.
Thanks to Fashion Revolution Poland I carried on a debate before the screening of The True Cost movie. In 2015 I lectured during Cracow Fashion Week with 42up agency and during Eco Made festival at Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź. Later on in 2016 I was participating in Short Waves Festival in Poznań, DOCS against GRAVITY in Warsaw and Creative Mikser at Academy of Fine Arts Warsaw.
I had a great opportunity to take part in European Youth Summit for Ethical Consumption in Bonn and Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2016.
